The first EMOVE transnational workshop took place in Hamburg on 24 June 2014 at the BAW premises. The objective of the workshop was to give all partners the opportunity to discuss the condensed results collectively. Additionally interfaces were developed to enable the transfer of achieved results.
The morning session started with presentations on the system description per estuary follwed by the current status on the stakeholder work. Each partner presented the results on the state of the estuary focussing on the prioritised pressures. All presentations included aspects on the affected compartments (e.g. habitat, water quality, hydrology etc.). The afternoon programme was dedicated to governance in the estuaries. Discussed topics included definitions and aspects of governance related to challenges in estuaries, potential 'business idea's' that could be developed in the estuaries, and the elements for a European estuarine governance vision.
